I have the honour to acɛnowledge with thanka
the receipt of Your Excelleney's letter No.90 of the 25th
ultime on the subject of the conditions upon which opium
may be exported from India for the use of the Opium Warm at
Yacao.
In reply I would point out that these con-
ditions were put forward not by me but by the Goverment of
India. I understood from the letter No.63 of the 28th of
Way which I had the honour to receive from the Provisional
Governor of Waono that the conditions were acceptable. As,
however, it appears that Your Exeelloney desires to take
exception to some of them I am forwarding a copy of your
letter to my Government for the consideration of the
Government of India.
